Enrollment

Information on the enrollment procedure for the afriZert program

IMPORTANT: Please enroll as early as possible within a year for the program.

Please note:
Since the afriZert program is offered by the University of Bayreuth, participating students must be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at the University of Bayreuth. This (formal) requirement can be waived with a cooperation agreement between the University of Bayreuth and your home institution (i.S. v. Art. 6 BayHIG). With such a cooperation agreement students from other Bavarian universities (of applied studies) can participate in the certificate program in Bayreuth without enrolling in an undergraduate or postgraduate program at the University of Bayreuth.

To date a corresponding cooperation agreement exists between the University of Bayreuth and the following universities:

  • University of Bamberg
  • University of Erlangen-Nuremberg
  • University of Würzburg

Further cooperation agreements exclusively for afriZert currently exist with the following insitutions:

  • OTH Regensburg
  • TU München
  • LMU München
  • Hochschule Weihenstephan-Triesdorf (HSWT)
  • TH Ingolstadt
  • KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt
  • TH Deggendorf

If you are enrolled at the University of Bayreuth and like to register for afriZert then...

... please send the completed subject change application together with the signed protocol to the Student Office (studierendenkanzlei@uni-bayreuth.de). No other documents are required.

If you are enrolled at a university (of applied studies) with a cooperation agreement and like to register for afriZert then...

... please enroll directly - based on your enrollment at the cooperation university - via CAMPUSonline (https://campusonline.uni-bayreuth.de). Please enter your data for the additional study program "afriZert (Koop.)" in CAMPUSonline. (Instructions for the enrollment process: winter semester) and send the enrollment documents to the Registrar's Office in due course.
This will allow you to enroll in Bayreuth and start the certificate program afriZert.

If you are studying at another university (of applied studies) in Bavaria without a cooperation agreement and like to enroll for afriZert then...

... please do a double enrollment. This means you enroll in a regular, open-admission program at the University of Bayreuth in order to be able to additionally enroll in afriZert on this basis. Please first register via CAMPUSonline for an open-admission program (instructions for enrollment: winter semester). You will then be enrolled in Bayreuth and may apply for a change of subject in order to take up the additional afriZert course as a further subject (see above).

If you have any questions or problems regarding enrollment, please contact the Registrar's Office at the University of Bayreuth.
